About the Author:

angelaI was born and raised in Palm Springs, California and after living in several different states ended up back in yet another desert in Arizona, where I reside with my husband, three kids and five cats.  We’ve now lived here for ten years and haven’t melted yet, although we have fried eggs on the sidewalk. We love to escape to our cabin in the mountains or to my favorite place, the beach. I have several obsessions, including my passion for all kinds of music and my inability to stop buying cheap jewelry. I am often caught singing in public bathrooms, just for the acoustics, or rollerblading through my neighborhood while singing loudly to whatever is playing on my iPod. I love to have lots of flowers in my garden and shiny things in my house.  My favorite holiday of all (going along with the shiny things theme) is Christmas. All in all, I consider myself the luckiest, most blessed person alive and am so happy to have this opportunity to write and also to share my writing with other people!

Tour: The 52nd by Dela

The 52nd by Dela

the 52nd Publication Date: October 27th, 2014
Genre: Young Adult, Paranormal Romance

Not one of the sacrifices chosen over the long history had survived–until now.
On the tip of the Yucatan peninsula, the immortal Castillo family gathers in Tulum. Weary and haunted, they receive the names of fifty-two human sacrifices chosen once every fifty-two years for the Underworld, a tradition thought to have disappeared with the fall of the Aztec and Mayan empires.
Driving home one night, college freshman Zara Moss swerves to avoid hitting a ghastly figure in the road. Lucas Castillo witnesses the car crash, but when it comes time to supervise her abduction from the wreckage, he intervenes. Something is different about Zara: Lucas has been having dreams of her arrival for five hundred years.
As Lucas and Zara come together to put an end to the bloody sacrifices, they discover that the ancient tradition isn’t so easily broken. The gods are angry, and they have until the Winter Solstice to drag Zara to the Underworld

About the Author: Dela

Melissa Ballard, nicknamed Dela after her maiden name De La Paz, had no idea that her days of changing diapers and picking up spills would coerce to feeding exotic jaguars and training with gods.
When driving home from an anniversary trip in January 2011, THE 52ND’s main characters, Zara and Lucas, appeared very vividly in her mind. The relationship between the two was so intriguing that Dela returned home and immediately began writing a scene between the two. Within a few days it was apparent these fictional characters were like another child. They needed to be tended to, and too embarrassed to continue, Dela set down her laptop and continued on with her life as a mom. Only Zara and Lucas weren’t so easily ignored, and in April Dela picked up the computer again and began writing.
Dela lives in Las Vegas with her husband, three children, and two very, fat Chihuahuas.
Now, nearly 4 years later, THE 52ND will be available for release October 27, 2014.

About the Author:

michelle flick

I teach middle school English in a small town so I try and stay up on all things YA, and secretly thrilled I have this excuse to read this genre all the time. I am a mom and teacher, so writing is a passion that I try to squeeze in. I have a new contemporary in the works (well – I started it like 6 years ago) and about several in the back of my brain.

Some none reading and writing!

2013 – I got married and had a baby! She’s beautiful.

I am an avid dog lover. If there is a dog in my vicinity, I will be on the ground playing, petting, and loving. I cannot resist! I have a collie (Lady Fergilious aka Fergie) and an Italian mastiff (Mia). And I think we might be toying with the idea of a third one… secretly hoping for a St. Bernard.

I was a dancer for 16 years so I am always fascinated by it: music, style, rythum, costume, everything! Music is also a big aspect of my life, you won’t walk into my house without music playing in some room!

Tour: Fairy, Texas by Margo Bond Collins

Fairy, Texas by Margo Bond Collins

Publication Date: 2014
Genre: Young Adult, Paranormal

Fairy, Texas. A small town like any other.

Laney Harris didn’t want to live there. When her mother remarried and moved them to a town where a date meant hanging out at the Sonic, Laney figured that “boring” would have a whole new meaning. A new stepsister who despised her and a high school where she was the only topic of gossip were bad enough. But when she met the school counselor (and his terminal bad breath), she grew suspicious. Especially since he had wings that only she could see. And then there were Josh and Mason, two gorgeous glimmering-eyed classmates whose interest in her might not be for the reasons she hoped. Not to mention that dead guy she nearly tripped over in gym class.
She was right. Boring takes on an entirely new dimension in Fairy, Texas.

About the Author:

Margo Bond Collins is the author of Legally Undead, first in an urban fantasy series coming in 2014 from World Weaver Press (, Waking Up Dead, first in a paranormal mystery series from Solstice Publishing (, and Fairy, Texas, a YA paranormal romance series (also from Solstice). She lives in Texas with her husband, their daughter, several spoiled cats, and a ridiculous turtle. She teaches college English online. She loves paranormal fiction of any genre and spends most of her free time daydreaming about vampires, ghosts, zombies, werewolves, and other monsters.
